We opened in 1988 with no money to pay people for things like logo design, or a signage. We couldn’t pay anyone for advertising art, or t-shirt designs, so we traded food and hugs for those things, and asked our wait staff if they would like to design t-shirts for us. We thank our friends and co-workers for their great contributions to Eastside’s image over the years.
