

In 1988 Eastside Café took the recycling baton from
Carla’s restaurant and has been running with it ever
since.
We’ve been recycling all cardboard boxes, all aluminum
cans, wine and beer (and all other) bottles, newspapers,
office paper, and recyclable plastic for 20 years!
And we make our own compost. We add an average of 35 gallons
of vegetable scrap from our prep kitchen to our compost system
every day to make our own garden fertilizer and keeping our
kitchen scrap out of the landfill.
Our cooking oil is collected and converted to biofuel. |
